What are the Office Hours? 
Normal business hours are from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Does the Treasurer’s Office hold Delinquent Tax Sales? 
Yes.  Both Personal Property and Real Estate Property are sold at auction. To learn more about delinquent tax sales please contact the Treasurer’s Office.(276) 782-4059 or email us at smythtreasurer@smythcounty.org.

What do I do with my decal if I trade vehicles?
Remove the decal and return it to the treasurer's office.  A new decal will be given to you for the new vehicle at no charge.

Who do I contact concerning my assessment?
Questions concerning you assessment on land or vehicles should be directed to the Commissioner of Revenue's Office at (276) 782-4040.

What payment options do I have? 
Cash, check, credit card or electronic debit for local taxes.
