•Officers Rescue Kitten Stranded in a Tree for Four Days
On January 5, 2012, Animal Control Officers Chris Bennett and Kristy Moore responded to a call in regards to a kitten that had been stranded in a tree for four days in the freezing cold temperatures. Officer Bennett proceeded to climb up in the tree and once he reached approximately 40 feet up he was close enough to the kitten that it jumped onto his shoulder. When he started climbing down the tree with the kitten in tow Officer Moore climbed up in the tree so that he could reach her the kitten. The male kitten has since been taken to the shelter and has been given the very well-suited name of "High Point".
