Judge’s Chambers
The “Resident Judge” of the Smyth County Circuit Court is the Honorable Jeffrey L. Campbell, who assumed the position in 2025. As Smyth County is part of the 28th Judicial Circuit along with Washington County and the City of Bristol, we are served by four circuit court judges, any one of whom may hear cases in the Smyth County Circuit Court. The “Chief Judge” of the 28th Judicial Circuit is the Honorable Deanis L. Simmons.
