02csa1Coordination of services through the Comprehensive Services Act (CSA) are designed to help troubled youths and their families.  State and local agencies, parents and private service providers work together to plan and provide services in our community.
 
This collaborative system of services and funding is child-centered, family-focused and community-based when addressing the strengths and needs of troubled and at-risk youths and their families in Smyth County.
 
FUNDING PROVIDED THROUGH FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT WITH CONSIDERATION TO PARENTAL ABILITY TO PAY
TEAMS
There are local teams available that decide the best way to provide for the youth of Smyth County:
Family Assessment Planning Team (FAPT)-meets the second Friday and the third Thursday of each month  at 1:00 p.m. in the Smyth County BOS meeting room on the 1st floor of the Smyth County Office Building.
Community Policy and Management Team (CPMT)-meets the third Thursday of each month at 1:00 p.m.in the Smyth County DSS meeting room on the 4th floor of the Smyth County Office Building.   
Program Managers Planning Team (PMPT)-meets quarterly to collaborate in the provision of services for needy families, training, funding issues, etc.  Time and place of meeting to be announced.
